In this T3 Zoom Café, we discuss what we look for in a global partner. We follow that up with: what makes you a good global partner for them?!? We dig into how a residual colonial mindset has impacted our partners…and us. We explore one of the colonial legacies: the patrón system where the patrón provides resources, protection and other benefits while the client provides service, labor, loyalty and political support. Are we part of a patrón system? Is that OK? If not, how do we move beyond that?

On one hand, we are called to generosity, on the other hand we seek build  sustainability and avoid unhealthy dependency on Western resources. The conversation provides some suggestions on how to navigate that complexity.
